Mexico House

We were given the awesome opportunity to work on a game ranch house in Mexico. When first approached by the homeowners, I wasn’t sure if it was something we could actually do. However, once involved I couldn’t have gotten more excited about the project. To get inspiration for the Mexican style and to find some authentic pieces to fill the house. The homeowners and myself, Jody, took at 7 day trip to San Miguel, MX. The city of San Miguel is fabulous! It is covered in blooming trees and flowers. The streets are small and cobblestone; lined with amazing doors. Behind each door is an oasis of someones home. All the homes have beautiful courtyards. The houses are built with lots of open air areas. Every morning we would start the day with a hike up the mountains to the top of the city and enjoy the stunning view. Once, back in the states we worked tirelessly with the homeowners via email and in person for almost 9 months to finish the house. We made multiple trips to Mexico so we could meet with the Architect, make changes to the final designs and select all the tiles, granites and interior finishes.
