I had the privilege to go to Las Vegas for a furniture show. I know why companies are moving so many events to Las Vegas, including one of the largest furniture markets available to attend. The design and imagination is incredible. It is true inspiring to me. Every inch of every space has been thought out. The colors are vivid and bold, light fixtures over scaled and immaculate. As a designer, its one of the coolest places to visit.
Below is the Parasol bar. You sit on plush red upholstery. The cocktail waitresses bring you tomato potato chips (that’s hard to say) but they are delicious to eat. The ceilings are stenciled and illuminated to showcase beautiful chandeliers. Nestled by thick rich striped draperies you feel so separated from the hustle around you. I believe every home can have a touch of glamour and this look can be recreated in many places, at a price that is in most budgets!
Check out this statue, WOW. I love the human form first and the idea of mother nature intertwining with the human body seems so sexy to me. Surrounded by red, when in this space you feel power, love, endless emotions that you yearn to keep feeling.
Think about adding a harlequin wall to your home. Stencils can be created in 2-D or 3-D effects. You can add decorative tacks to each intersection. Think swarovski crystals on the intersections in pink for a little girls “princess” room.

When you come down this escalator the ceiling is full of different shape parasols the walls are tiled in intricate mosaic patterns, as well as the floors. Also on the ceiling are appliques of an array of flowers that lead your eye to the next mystical and amazing space.
