Brown Interiors is happy to announce that we were featured on an A&E Network show, Flipped OFF. The TV show premiered on April 28, 2012at 9pm central.
We were asked in the summer of last year by Departure Films if we wanted to come in and stage “flipped” homes to help them sell. Of course, we jumped on the opportunity to work on the project.
The show features celebrity star from Survivor, Russell Hantz. Russell’s brother, Shawn Hantz and their broker, Kristen Bredehoeft. The show is about flipping houses and the risks that are involved along the way. The show is high drama, funny and dysfunctional, as Kristen says on the commercial.
Brown Interiors did the staging on “I smell a rat” episode for the show…can’t tell you the obstacles we encountered, but it was really fun to participate on the show. We were featured on the April 28th episode. Brown Interiors will also be featured on the June 2nd and June 9th episodes as well. Please set your DVR and/or watch the show!
Show airs Saturday evenings 9 PM central on the A & E Network.

Many people have asked me what the difference between “staging” and decorating. When we come in to stage a home, 99% of the time it is so the home will sell. Future home owners can better visualize living in a home when furnishing and decor are already in place. Verses walking into an empty space.
When we are decorating a home. We are personalizing that room/ home custom for that homeowner, working with that home owner’s existing furnishings, inherited items and bringing in new furniture, accessories, paint etc. to make the space reflect their personalities.
After the episode airs on TV we will post “after” photos of the home.
